Climbing and chewing branches should be from spruce, beech, willow, hazelnut bush, and fruit trees. (the trees should not be sprayed)

For treats you can give your chinchillas a small piece of apple or carrot, one raisin

half a hazelut or peanut, dried cut up rose hips and papaya cubes.

 Remember do not give your chinchilla more than one or two treats a day! 

1. Do not place the cage on the floor so you will not  bend over it and frighten the chinchilla. The cage should be placed against a wall in a  draft free place. The cage should be in a room that is quiet during the day. The sun should not be directly on the cage but the cage should be well lighted.
